Overview:
With a storefront operation, in conjunction with a multi-million dollar service capability, the ability to fabricate and form custom hoses and tubes efficiently and effectively is a vital role at Devine Hydraulics, Inc. (DHI). Using the latest tools, hose types and the largest inventory of fittings and adapters, our Hose & Tube Assembler is kept busy servicing customers at the counter as well as supporting needs for our shop and industrial sites.
What We’re Looking For:
At DHI, we are looking for an individual for the position of Hose & Tube Assembler that can work independently and efficiently, but looks forward to face-to-face customer interactions. Past experience in auto parts stores making hoses is a great launching point for this key role. This person needs to have a base of knowledge that can be grown through training and direction.
Responsibilities in Detail:
- Provide excellent customer service
- Manufacture hose assemblies to required specifications
- Fabricate and bend tube assemblies
- Handle walk in customers, process counter orders
- Manage and maintain proper inventory levels in the store
- Provide product and sales guidance to customers
- Work in collaboration with the entire DHI team to build sales and provide superb service
- Become a trusted expert in hose technology conveyance and applications
- Visually verify product compliance to customer and company specifications
- Functionally verify product performance to the defined test criteria
- Utilizes hand and power tools, electronic and pneumatic testing fixtures and devices
- Complete all department work assignments in a timely manner
- Shift work assignment priorities when needed and as directed
- Responsible for organization of tools and work station cleanliness
- Performs other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- 3+ years’ experience in making hoses (i.e., auto parts store)
- Personable and professional demeanor
- Self-starter and self-motivated attitude
- Problem solving and excellent communication/follow through skills
- Proven organization skills in handling multiple tasks/customers
- Proficiency with math, measurements and understanding metrics
- Physical stamina and strength to lift heavy (up to 50lbs) items
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of vocational training or an apprenticeship will be an asset
- Past experience in making hoses (i.e., auto parts store) is a definite plus
